Meet the Martin Family
Two generations. One mission. Your property, done right.
Martin Services is a family-owned lawn care and property maintenance company based in Powassan, Ontario, serving North Bay and surrounding communities. Founded in 1990 by Keith Martin, the business brings 35 years of hands-on experience to every job — from weekly lawn mowing and landscaping to demolition, estate cleanouts, and snow removal. Today, Keith and his son Brody run the operation together, combining decades of expertise with next-generation energy. Martin Services is fully insured with WSIB coverage and maintains a 5-star Google rating.
We are a family-owned property maintenance company built on Christian values of honesty, hard work, and service.
It Started With the Smell of Fresh-Cut Grass
In 1990, a 19-year-old kid named Keith Martin got his first job in the landscape and lawn maintenance industry. Something clicked that very first day. The smell of freshly cut grass. The satisfaction of transforming a rough yard into something sharp and clean. The look on a customer's face when the job was done right.
Keith didn't just find a job that summer. He found his calling.
Over the next three decades, Keith honed his craft from the ground up. He worked his way to foreman, learning every aspect of the trade. He went on to own multiple businesses, always staying hands-on, always showing up, always putting in the work that most people talk about but few actually do.
35 years later, that same fire still burns. Keith Martin has never lost his love for the work, and he's never stopped learning. What started as a teenager's first job became a lifetime of dedication to his craft and to the customers who trust him with their properties.
"You Have to Make Hay When the Sun Shines"
In 2023, Keith and his wife Connie decided to chase a dream — trading the bustle of Brantford, Ontario for the quiet beauty of Powassan, in Northern Ontario. A lifestyle change. A fresh start. A chance to build something in a place they could truly call home.
But Keith wasn't about to abandon the customers who depended on him. So he did what Keith does: he found a way to make it work.
He put a topper on his work truck. Built a living space with a cot in the box. And for months, he drove 4 hours south, 3 days a week, to keep his operations running in Brantford. He'd work 12-hour days, sleep in his truck, then turn around and drive back North to be with his family.
While running jobs down south, he was marketing Martin Services in the North — building the business one customer at a time in a community where nobody knew his name yet. Knocking on doors. Earning trust. Proving himself all over again at 52 years old.
Most people would have picked one or the other. Keith picked both.
"You have to make hay when the sun shines." — Keith Martin, Founder
Father & Son. Built to Last.
Three years after the move North, Keith and his son Brody have reunited in the business and teamed up to scale the family operation to the next level. Two generations. One standard of work.
Keith Martin
35 years in the lawn care and property maintenance industry. Keith started at 19, worked his way up to foreman, and went on to own multiple businesses. His work ethic is legendary — the kind of guy who sleeps in his truck to make sure customers are taken care of. Keith is the backbone of Martin Services and the standard every job is measured against.
Brody Martin
7 years of industry experience with a sales and marketing background. Brody brings energy, ambition, and a passion for landscaping, demolition, and estate cleanouts. He loves seeing the satisfaction on customers' faces when the job's done — and he's driven by a desire to build a lasting legacy for his family. Brody is the next generation of Martin Services.
Then & Now — Some things run in the family.
The Martin Services Way
These aren't corporate values we pulled off a wall. This is how we actually operate — every day, every job, every customer.
Hard Work Over Shortcuts
We don't cut corners. Keith didn't sleep in his truck for months because there was an easy way. We earn every customer.
Family First
This is a family business in every sense. We treat your property like our own because our name is on every job.
Customer Satisfaction
The smile on a customer's face when the job's done — that's what gets us up at 5am. Every single time.
