Benefits of Owning a Sauna

A sauna is an investment in your health, your home, and your quality of life. Here's why our customers love theirs.

Muscle Recovery & Pain Relief

Heat therapy relaxes muscles, eases joint pain, and speeds recovery after physical work or exercise. Perfect after a day of shoveling Northern Ontario snow.

Stress Relief & Better Sleep

Regular sauna sessions reduce cortisol levels and promote deep relaxation. Many users report dramatically improved sleep quality.

Improved Circulation

Heat exposure dilates blood vessels and increases blood flow, supporting cardiovascular health. Finnish studies link regular sauna use to heart health benefits.

Year-Round Use & Home Value

Use your sauna in every season. Outdoor saunas become a stunning property feature. Indoor saunas add usable wellness space. Both increase home value.

Sauna Sales FAQs

Got questions about saunas? Here are the ones we hear most. Call (249) 506-9211 if you can't find your answer.

Infrared vs traditional — which is better?

Neither is "better" — they're different experiences. Traditional saunas offer high heat and steam at 70-100°C. Infrared saunas heat your body directly at a lower 45-65°C, heat up faster, and use less electricity. Call (249) 506-9211 and we'll help you decide.

How much does a sauna cost?

Our Great Lakes Spas Tremblant infrared saunas start at $3,000 (1-person) and $4,500 (2-person). Larger outdoor barrel and cabin saunas vary by size and features. Call (249) 506-9211 for current pricing. Financing is available.

What are the electrical requirements?

Most saunas require a dedicated 240V circuit. Exact amperage depends on heater size. Some smaller infrared saunas run on standard 120V. We specify the requirements — you arrange a licensed electrician for the circuit.

Indoor or outdoor — which should I choose?

Indoor saunas are convenient for daily use. Outdoor saunas (barrel, cabin) become a backyard feature and offer the cold-air contrast experience. Choice depends on space, budget, and personal preference.

What are the health benefits?

Regular sauna use is associated with muscle recovery, stress reduction, improved circulation, better sleep, joint pain relief, and detoxification. Finnish studies link regular use to cardiovascular health benefits.

Do I need a permit?

Indoor saunas typically don't need permits. Outdoor saunas may, depending on size and local regulations. Requirements vary between municipalities. We'll help you determine what's needed for your situation.

How much maintenance is required?

Saunas are low-maintenance. Wipe benches after use, sweep periodically, leave the door open after sessions. Wood saunas may need occasional oil treatment. Much simpler than a hot tub — no water chemistry or filters.
